MEET CAROLYN
I believe in building stong, inclusive communities where everyone feels welcome, supported, and able to thrive. Whether I’m planning an event or speaking 1-1 about a cause I believe in, I excel at turning ideas into impact.
As the Event Manager at City House, I lead the strategy and execution of events that drive fundraising, community engagement, and awareness for youth experiencing crisis. From design to logistics, donor stewardship to marketing: I manage development projects end-to-end to ensure our events run smoothly and resonate with people. My background spans project management, DEIA-focused advocacy, and grassroots organizing—all grounded in a commitment to lasting impact.
I am currently on the Plano Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals of Plano Comittee in their Marketing sub-committee. I invest my time into IGNITE National’s Texas Advisory Group, planning an IGNITE the Vote conference in Dallas. I am a recent graduate of the inaugural cohort of the Emerging Leadership Fellow with the North Texas Disability Chamber.
Outside of professional opportunities, I an an active volunteer with my United Methodist Church and am a part-time LEADer with To Be Like Me. My main goals are to make our community more accommodating and inclusive place where all are welcome and have appropriate access to the resources they need to live life to the fullest.
I hold a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute, a BS in Psychology from UT Dallas, and an AA from Collin College. With a focus on continuous improvement and strategic thinking, I am committed to advancing the long-term success and sustainability of the organizations I work with.
